665°F Andaz Singapore – set lunch

As a reset before our lock in and to celebrate my birthday, early, we had lunch at 665°F at the Singapore Andaz.

We went with the well priced set lunch. It came with complimentary bread each, and actually our own butter each. Triston wanted to take the butter because it would be $10’s worth.

We did have butter left but nothing to take it home with us so we didn’t get to take it. Sadly.

We opted for just the two course set lunch. Starter and main. I had the scallops and Triston has the bone marrow, so I ended up with both.

Both were really great. Bone marrow was just a little too strong and buttery/fatty for Triston. We did share. He had one scallop, and probably a third of his bone.

The kitchen is open, so you get to watch everyone cook. This was the very last lunch service before the 4-week shut down. We both went for steak as a main.

I had the flank, medium with mashed potato and béarnaise sauce. Triston had the cut of the day, which was tri tip, with truffle fries and he went béarnaise sauce.

My steak was amazing and too much so Triston got to finish mine off. Triston said his steak was good as well but he enjoyed mine more.

This was a nice way to reset, get outside the apartment while we could. Everyone was taking extra precautions. Us, the hotel, the staff. We had to be temperature checked to enter, we sanitised everything, staff were wearing masks.

The whole meal was exactly on point. Cheap, as a set lunch special, and exactly what you want from a steak dinner.

We will be back. I can’t believe we have lived next door for so long and we lived in the hotel for so long, without going.

I may not get a $8 ++ coke next time but then again, maybe I will.

Set 2 course lunch is $38 and 3 course is $48. Scallops have a $10 surcharge. And yes, the coke was $8. Tax and service charge go on top. Totally worth it.
