Trying to decide what to do for my birthday

TW will be in Australia for work for a week or two and gets back the day before my birthday.

I forgot what birthday it was for me, I just remembered yesterday (35) so we want to do something good. We just don’t know what.

Pondering things like this takes forever because of all the options. We holiday and eat out a lot so some of the standard birthday luxuries don’t really apply.

I probably would have said to visit an old friend I haven’t seen in years but I did a lot of that before we moved. TW said he had intended to take me to the Northern Territory as the only Australian state I haven’t been to. Longitude 131 is on my bucket list but then so are many other lodges in the NT.

Hmm, what to do. Where to go. We will know by the end of the week about the thing we applied for but can’t talk about so we have to hold off booking. It might make us busy on some dates soon so we are leaving things open for it. If we aren’t accepted then everything is free and clear but for where….. sigh. Birthdays are so hard. Even my own.

Any ideas or suggestions or stories out there to inspire me?
